Just wanted to let you know the value I feel I get from the One-on-One meetings with you Paul.
The further I get into the course, the more I realize how surrounded I am by the herd mentality, and yet I have spent most of my life taking advice from the herd. It is so refreshing to sit in front of someone who has not only been there and achieved what I myself am trying to achieve in financial freedom, but who also recognizes all of the behaviours and thought processes that stop most people from achieving it. The awareness that this has brought into my life, realizing how much I don’t know about what I don’t know about, has only heightened my eagerness to learn and I am realizing how important continual learning will be to live a life of real abundance in every area.
To have someone to bounce ideas off, but who I also feel some accountability to, who I know wants nothing more from our meetings but to see me succeed is a very rare thing. Generally I am surrounded by well meaning friends and family with dozens of reasons why my plans or strategies might not work, instead of someone who is helping me find all of the possible solutions to overcome any obstacles to achieving what I want.
I have walked away from our one on one meetings not only full of a better awareness of where I am going and what I am going to create, but a real desire to keep pushing myself out of my comfort zone and for that alone the value I perceive is priceless.

One of my benefits in joining Paul Counsel's year long Money Mastery programme has been Paul's willingness to meet and discuss any issue or topic of my choosing. This has been true gold, a bonus not mentioned in the course information evenings.

Paul is extremely successful, unlike myself (yet!). Normally, such a person would not be accessible for me to talk to in any situation, let alone have a coffee and talk about any topic that is on my mind. How many times have I heard Paul speak about the mentoring process, of the value of finding a mentor or the five forms of personal support which Paul offers to Money Mastery students.
When I think about this for a minute, this is probably the most unique and valuable opportunity I am getting out of the Money Mastery course.
I remember Paul saying in our second weekend workshop that he throws grenades into peoples lives. From the "grenades" he has thrown into my life he has shown himself to be fully present to me. Paul's comment and understanding is from a deep respectful acknowledgement of responsibility. It has been the sincerest invitation that I have ever found. "I am there for you, talk to me."
I have taken up this offer from the beginning, even though not frequently enough if I may add. My approach has been to bring something, or at least try and bring something to the conversation that shows and provides evidence that I have been reflecting on the information given to me.
I want to show progress, thinking, ideas, understanding (or the lack of it). The thing is, if not Paul then who else? This unconditional gift from Paul of having a "one on one" has proven to be value beyond belief for me.
I have been yearning for a mentor within this realm for so many years. Not having somebody as a mentor... the nagging question has always been, where do you find somebody, how do you go about it?
This has been complicated even furthermore by not knowing what it is that I was looking for, or wanting to achieve.
From day one of the Money Mastery Course I decided to adopt Paul as my mentor. To learn from my mentor I needed to talk and to listen to Paul regularly. That meant having Paul involved in my life, my day to day battles.
The way I see it is that the information Paul supplies is the map for the territory of personal and financial freedom, but it is still different from the territory.
If you have a map but you can add a guide to the journey, how much better is that?
I have not let this opportunity pass me by, it is priceless!

The greatest value of the Money Mastery Course is in being able to sit down with Paul "one-on-one", to bounce off concepts that I have been exposed to in the course.
What I mean by that is, everything I have learned in the course (or any other course) was only theory until I tried to apply it to my own life. Only then has there been the opportunity of taking what I have learned and make it "my own".
Internalized and experienced, learning has then become "true knowledge" from which my personal action has been taken.
Paul provides this opportunity by genuinely caring about the person that he is mentoring.
